Adelaide Salvatore is one of main female protagonists of The Vampire Diaries. Adelaide is a 192-year-old heretic and distant descendant of Silas. She was born in 1839 and lived in the colonial town of Mystic Falls with her brothers Stefan and Damon, her father, Giuseppe Salvatore, and also with her mother Lillian Salvatore until her death in 1858.
Adelaide is the mother of the first naturally born heretic, Athena Salvatore, the daughter she had with the heretic, Malachai Parker. She is the wife of Kol Mikaelson, and gave birth to the second naturally born heretic, Penelope Mikaelson.
Adelaide is a member of the Salvatore Family and also had ties with the Parker Family via her daughter, and also the Mikaelson Family via her marriage and daughter.
