Aurélie St. Germain is a recurring character in Season 3 of The Originals and a main character in Seasons 4 and 5. She is also a special guest star in Legacies.
Born a witch in New Orleans, she was a member of the New Orleans Witch Community since birth. In 2014, due to being seen as worthy, Nature itself chose her to become the first Guardian in thousands of years. She went through a month-long metamorphosis, which greatly strengthened her and granted her a vast amount of power to be used in order to keep the witches in line. The first she used this power was shortly after awakening, when she stopped Lucien Castle and the Ancestors' attempt to create a new and deadlier version of the immortality spell.
She allied with the Mikaelsons against the Ancestors and punished them by breaking their connection to the land of the living. Aurelie began a relationship with Freya Mikaelson, ultimately marrying her and joining the Mikaelson family.
