Claire Margaret Mikaelson (nee Forbes) is a hybrid and a former main character on The Vampire Diaries and a main character in The Originals. Claire is the daughter of a unnamed man and Elizabeth Forbes, the former wife of the late Elijah Mikaelson and the sister-in-law of Finn, Freya, Niklaus, Rebekah, Kol and Henrik. She is also the mother of Madison and Joshua Mikaelson and she is also the younger sister of Caroline Forbes.
Claire is a member of the Forbes Family and have ties with the Mikaelson Family via her marriage and her children.
Early Life[]
Claire was born on November 22, 1993, to a unnamed man and Elizabeth Forbes in Mystic Falls, Virginia. During her childhood she befriends Elena Gilbert and as well as Bonnie Bennett. Some point during her childhood Claire finds out that she is really not Bill's daughter and confront her mother to see if she is correct, Elizabeth told Claire to never tell Bill or Caroline that she is not to tell that she is not his daughter and sister.
On December 22, 2007, Claire was fourteen years old and a 8th grader at the middle school in mystic falls and was helping Caroline with the Mystic Falls for the Lighting of the Tree Ceremony. It was revealed that her mother and step-father were still together but it can be assumed that they were having issues in their marriage and Bill was also having an affair with a man named Steven by this time. She and Caroline also got excited when Elena revealed that she was going to convince her parents to let Bonnie stay for the holidays as they've never spent an holiday apart from each other. However, her step-father left and divorced her mother after revealing that he was gay, and began a relationship with Steven, who also had a daughter.
On December 22, 2008, Claire was a freshmen at Mystic Falls High School. Unseen onscreen at the time, during the events of Season One Claire and Caroline and her friends played a "secret Santa" game. Tyler Lockwood gave Claire a key-ring snow globe of Mystic Falls, which disappointed her; she also gave Bonnie a gift.

Claire is a strikingly gorgeous female hybrid with light olive skin, dark blue eyes, and dark brown hair and then she dyed during season one. Her hair is shoulder length and is usually worn loose, though sometimes is pulled up in a ponytail, a half up, or rarely, a french braid. She is tall with an athletic but slim figure.
