Edric Rosewood is a major recurring character in Season Four of The Vampire Diaries. He was introduce as a lone vampire but then later in the season, he shown his true colors as a Rosewood. He later became a main character in Season Five. Right when Edric was turn into a vampire, he lost his ability to do magic, since witches cannot be vampires. He turned off his humanity out of spike and hunted down his sire, and then later on, he turned his humanity back on.
Edric is the adoptive father of Gwen Rosewood, the werewolf he adopted with his then girlfriend and now wife, Vivianne Lescheres-Rosewood.
Edric is a member of the Rosewood Family. He has ties with the Lescheres Family via his marriage to Vivianne.
