Eleanor Jade Salvatore (nee Gilbert) was one of the two main femaleprotagonists on The Vampire Diaries. Eleanor is the hybrid daughter of John Gilbert and Isobel Flemming and the twin sister of Elena Gilbert. She is the grand-niece of Grayson Gilbert and Miranda Sommers-Gilbert, who are also her adoptive parents. She is also the cousin of Jeremy Gilbert, who is also her adoptive brother. She is the aunt of Elena and Klaus' daughters, Hope and Claire Mikaelson and Jeremy and Arianna's son, Jonathan Gilbert.
She is the mother of Melanie and Graycin Parker, her twin daughters with Kai Parker.
Eleanor is a member of the Gilbert Family and the Petrova Family. She is also a member of the Salvatore Family through marriage. She also has ties to the Parker Family through herdaughters as well the Mikaelson Family and the Forbes Family through hernieces and nephew.
