Faith Miranda Mikaelson is a main character in Legacies and a former major recurring character in The Originals before being promoted to a main character in fifth season. She is also a former recurring character in the eighth season of The Vampire Diaries. Faith is the tribrid daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson and Leah Gilbert; the older twin sister of Hope Mikaelson; and the older half-sister of Jacob, Graycin, and Enzo Salvatore. She is the granddaughter of Ansel, Esther Mikaelson, John Gilbert, and Isobel Flemming and the step-granddaughter of Mikael and Alaric Saltzman. She is the niece of Freya, Finn, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik Mikaelson as well as Elena and Jeremy Gilbert; the step-niece of Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; the grand-niece of Dahlia, Grayson Gilbert, and Miranda Sommers-Gilbert; and the adoptive grand-niece of Jenna Sommers. She is also a distant relative of Cary. She is the adoptive younger sister of Marcel Gerard through her father. She is the paternal cousin of Freya and Mathias' unborn son; Elijah and Katherine's daughter, Annabeth Mikaelson; Rebekah and Marcel's daughter, Alexandria Mikaelson; Kol and Davina's son, Henrik Mikaelson II; and Freya and Keelin's son, Nik Mikaelson and the maternal cousin of Elena and Damon's daughter, Stefanie Salvatore and Jeremy and Astrid's daughter, Carter Gilbert. Due to his marriage to Leah, Stefan Salvatore was her step-father for half a day before he sacrifice himself for the town Mystic Falls.
Her middle name is Miranda after her maternal grand-aunt and adoptive grandmother, Miranda Sommers-Gilbert and she takes the surname of her father's side.
Faith is a member of the Mikaelson Family, the Gilbert Family, the Petrova Family, the Salvatore Family, and an unnamed family of werewolves. Faith is by birthright, a member of the North East Atlantic Pack as well as an unnamed witch family and is one of the two children fathered by the Original Hybrid.
