And my daughter—she's gone, given away to be kept safe, and I understand why that had to happen, but it does not stop the fact that I can't hold her in my arms anymore, Elijah! Håkon Rivkah Mikaelson was an important character throughout season one of The Originals, being the tribrid son of Niklaus Mikaelson and Katherine Pierce, and the younger twin brother to Adyelya Mikaelson. He is the grandson of Ansel, Anton Petrov and Mariya Petrova (Harman), and Esther Mikaelson, as well as the step-grandson of Mikael. He is the half-nephew of Freya, Finn, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik Mikaelson, and the grand-nephew of Dahlia, as well as the nephew of Nedyalka Petrova, the younger sister of his mother who was thought to have been murdered by his father in 1492. He is the half-brother of Nadia Petrova, and the adoptive younger brother of Marcel Gerard via his father. Håkon is also a distant relative of Cary and Hayley Marshall.
As a result of his unique heritage, Håkon and his sister are the world's first werewolf-witch-vampire hybrid. He inherited his witch gene from both his mother and father, while his vampire and werewolf legacy come from his father, who is the Original vampire-werewolf hybrid and the son of the Original Witch. Through his mother's Harman lineage and his father's lineage, Håkon is witch and werewolf royalty.
Håkon and Adyelya were conceived in the season four finale, Graduation, though Katherine does not discover that she is pregnant until the premier episode The Originals. Furthermore, it is in Tangled Up in Blue when it is revealed that Katherine is, in fact, carrying twins (a girl and boy). Håkon, and his sister, Adyelya, were born in the season finale of The Originals, From a Cradle to a Gave, though he and his sister were kidnapped by the witches of New Orleans shortly following their birth. On the orders of his paternal grandmother, Håkon is sacrificed by the witches (specifically, Genevieve and Monique) in a sacrifice before help can show up. Just as the witches are about to sacrifice Adyelya next, Marcel saves her life, along with Klaus, Katherine and Elijah, though sadly, they were too late for Håkon.
Håkon is a member of the Mikaelson Family, the Petrova Family, and an unnamed family of werewolves. Håkon is by birthright a member of the Travelers, the North East Atlantic Pack, as well as the ruling witch coven of all other covens, the Trinity Coven, in which he descends directly from the main branch of witches in the powerful Harman Family, coming from Hecate, The Witch-Queen's direct revered and royal bloodline. He is also a member of the Helland Family, a powerful bloodline of witches, and is the only child, alongside his sister, to be fathered by the Original Hybrid.

Personality[]
Håkon's true personality is unknown as he died as a newborn baby; however, in season three of The Originals, after being injected with large amounts of werewolf venom, Katherine has several hallucinations of her son, not only imagining what he looked like, but also how he would have grown up and what his personality would have been like.
