Miranda Claire Annette Fogerty is a recurring character in Legacies. Miranda is the daughter of Jacob Fogerty and Elena Gilbert, the younger sister of Bonnie and Caroline Fogerty, and the older sister of Jenna and Hayley Fogerty. She is the granddaughter of Albert Fogerty, Annette Fell, John Gilbert, and Isobel Flemming; and the step-granddaughter of Alaric Saltzman. She is the niece of Caroline Forbes and Jeremy Gilbert; the step-niece of Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; the grand-niece of Grayson Gilbert, and Miranda Sommers; and the adoptive grand-niece of Jenna Sommers. She is also the younger godsister of Hope Mikaelson.
She is named after her maternal grand-aunt and adoptive grandmother, Miranda Sommers and her middle name is Annette, after her paternal grandmother Annette Fell. She takes the surname of her father's side.
