Sebastian "Bash" Isak Mikaelson-Donovan is a main character on Legacies and a former recurring character on The Originals. Sebastian is hybrid son of Matt Donovan and Rebekah Mikaelson. He is the grandson of Mikael, Esther Mikaelson, Peter Maxwell, and Kelly Donovan. He is also the nephew of Freya, Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Kol, and Henrik Mikaelson and Vicki Donovan and the grand-nephew of Dahlia. He is the cousin of of Freya and Mathias' unborn son; Klaus and Hayley's daughter, Hope Mikaelson; Klaus and Juliette's daughter, Penelope Mikaelson; Elijah and Acantha's son, Cassian Ravenwood; Kol and Millie's daughter, Jacqueline Mikaelson; Henrik and Davina's daughter, Karina Mikaelson; and Freya and Keelin's son, Finn Mikaelson II. Due to his marriage to Rebekah, Marcel Gerard is his stepfather.

Sebastian was conceived between The Vampire Diaries season four episode Graduation and The Originals season one episode Always and Forever and it was revealed Rebekah was pregnant around eight episodes later in Reigning Pain in New Orleans. Sebastian was then born between The Originals season one episode From a Grave to a Cradle and season two episode Rebirth. As a result of his unique heritage, he is the worlds first true vampire-witch hybrid. He inherited both his vampire and witch legacy from his mother, who is one of the original vampires and the daughter of the Original Witch. Through his mother's Original Vampire lineage, Sebastian is vampire royalty.

Sebastian is a member of the Mikaelson Family, the Donovan Family, and the Maxwell Family. Sebastian is by birthright, a member of the Nyström Family.

Season Two

In Rebirth, Sebastian is currently living with Rebekah, Hope, and Penelope away from New Orleans. After putting Hope and Penelope down to sleep, Rebekah can be seen holding and rocking Sebastian in her arms as she sings to him.

In The Brothers That Care Forgot, Sebastian is seen at the park with his mother, Rebekah and his cousins, Hope and Penelope.
