The Trusov Family (Russian: Трусов, feminine: Трусова) is one of the main families within The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Legacies. The Family is one of the oldest ancient families originating from Russia before ultimately ending up in Mystic Falls, Virginia, then settling down in New Orleans some time after. The Trusov Family is an ancient bloodline of very powerful Russian witches that goes back at least a few thousand years. from which the Trusova Sisters are descents from, they are also known in history per their bloodline to be some of thee most powerful witches in all of history.

The family is known to master the arts is dark, black, blood, and spirit magic, making them one of the most feared families in all the supernatural world. Later the Trusova Sister becoming the worlds first immortal witches, furthering the powerful name that is the Trusov Family.
